- Opening a Case on Waggingreens
When a buyer encounters an issue with an order on Waggingreens—whether it’s a return, refund request, or another problem—the following steps apply:
- Contact the Seller: Buyers should first reach out to the seller directly using the “Help with Order” link within their account. Sellers are expected to respond promptly to messages from buyers.
- Seller Response Time: If the seller doesn’t respond within 48 hours or is unable to resolve the issue, buyers can open a “case.”
- What Is a Case?: A case is a formal notification to Waggingreens that the buyer and seller couldn’t resolve the issue independently. Waggingreens steps in to assist in resolving the case.
- Possible Outcomes:
- Automatic Closure and Refund: In some cases, Waggingreens may automatically close the case and issue a refund.
- Further Review: Waggingreens may review the case further, facilitating communication between both parties to find a resolution.
Important Considerations:
- Waggingreens Account: Buyers must have a Waggingreens account to open a case. If a buyer used guest checkout, they’ll need to register for an account before proceeding.
- Single Dispute Resolution Method: Buyers can only use one dispute resolution method against sellers on Waggingreens. If a chargeback has been filed with their credit card company, they cannot simultaneously open a case. If a chargeback occurs after opening a Waggingreens case, the Waggingreens case will be closed.
- Stripe/Paypal Payments: For buyers who paid through Stripe or Paypal, Waggingreens may advise them to contact Stripe or Paypal directly for a refund.
Case Eligibility and Purchase Protection Program
Case Eligibility Criteria:
- Time Frame: To open a case on Waggingreens, an order must meet the following criteria:
- The order falls within the eligible time frame based on the estimated delivery date (if applicable) or processing time and “ship by” date.
- The buyer has reported the issue to the seller within the order section.
iii. The seller has been given 48 hours to resolve the issue.
- Reasons for Opening a Case:
- The item never arrived.
- The item arrived after the estimated delivery date window.
iii. The item arrived damaged.
- The item does not match the listing description.
12. Waggingreens’s Purchase Protection Program:
We believe that buyers should always receive what they ordered or get a refund. When expectations aren’t met, Waggingreens steps in to support buyers. Here’s how our Purchase Protection Program works:
- Full Refund Scenarios:
- Items that never arrive.
- Items that arrive after the estimated delivery date window.
iii. Items that arrive damaged.
- Items that significantly differ from the listing description or photos.
- Specific Criteria:
- On-Time Delivery: Items should be shipped within the seller’s stated processing times and delivered to the buyer’s provided address. Late delivery due to forces beyond the seller’s control (e.g., carrier strikes, natural disasters) does not qualify.
- Undamaged Items: Items should arrive undamaged and be packaged to withstand handling during transit.
iii. Matching Description: Items received should not significantly differ from the listing description or photos. Examples of qualifying scenarios include color discrepancies, design variations, missing parts, incorrect quantities, authenticity issues, and misrepresented condition.
- Exclusions Apply: Waggingreens’s case system reviews cases, and eligible buyers must have a registered account in good standing. Abuse of the program may result in exclusion
Ineligible Disputes and Case Resolution
Ineligible Disputes:
The following disputes and transactions are ineligible for the case system unless required by law:
- Altered or Used Items: Items that have been altered, used, washed, or discarded after receipt.
- Return Agreement: Items returned without a prior return agreement.
- Expectations vs. Description: Items accurately described but not meeting the buyer’s expectations.
- Shipping Costs: Disputes related to shipping costs.
- In-Person Purchases: Transactions made in person.
- Non-Waggingreens Payments: Transactions where payment is not processed through Waggingreens Payments guidelines.
- Local Warranty or Return Laws: Disputes covered by local warranty or return laws applicable to a seller or their product.
Case Resolution Process:
- Automatic Closure:
- Waggingreens usually resolves and closes cases automatically on behalf of the buyer and seller.
- Waggingreens may resolve the case on the seller’s behalf, including issuing refunds if payment was made via Waggingreens Payments.
- Investigation and Communication:
- In some cases, further investigation may be necessary to resolve the case.
- Each case remains open until a resolution is reached.
iii. Waggingreens may reach out to provide additional information, and timely responses are essential.
- Sellers must respond within 2 calendar days.
- Pre-48-Hour Resolution:
- Waggingreens reserves the right to resolve order issues before the 48-hour window.
- Reasons include seller inactivity, harassment, refusal of service, manipulation, or undermining the case system.
iii. Sellers cannot require buyers to close cases as a condition for dispute resolution.
